Harmonic Inspiration for 2012 – January 20, 21, 22

I have just come back from the retreat at the coast dedicated to harmony and sound healing.  It was most amazing from start to finish.

First of all, on Friday morning I received word that three of the retreat participants would not be able to come to the retreat.  I asked myself if I should cancel the retreat… the answer, “No.”  I had to go to the store to buy the extra food that I was expecting these people to bring,  which caused me to get a later start than I had planned.  By some miracle, I was able to maintain my equilibrium through it all.  I picked up Emily.  When we got to Gearhart, we discovered that there were already people inhabiting the retreat house.  I contacted the owner of the house and discovered there had been a scheduling mix-up.  Is this the end of the retreat, then I ask?  “No.”  I contacted a friend I know in Seaside to ask her if she had any ideas.  She made a phone call and within minutes, we had another place to stay.  I called the other retreat- participants, and we settled into our “new” place.  It was funky and different.  It didn’t have our “high vibrations.”  We had a lot of adjusting, spiritually, physically, and gastronomically (because other food items were absent).  We had to be flexible and accommodating.

I realized that at any moment in this journey, I could have chosen to call the whole thing off.  Friday morning, I could have called it off when there were 3 cancellations.  But I continued to flow with it with the guidance provided.  As a result, I was supported energetically, and spiritually like never before.  We had allies and spirit-guides available to us; we were borne up on the wings of the Eagles and we experienced the most powerful ride of our lives.  Our lives were transformed.  We will never be the same as a result of this retreat that never should have happened.

Thanks to Kevin Marshall who provided a very transformative crystal and Tibetan bowl concert.  Thanks to Rebecca Collucci for sharing your inspiring poetry.  Thanks to Susan VanWie for your expert healing talents.  Thanks to Emily Rowan for once again using your shamanic magic in the creation of mouth-watering food.  Thanks to all Spirit-Guides and allies who contributed to this magnificent weekend.

Shamanic Healing and Drum-making Retreat

The Shamanic Healing /Drum-making retreat, September 16, 17, 18, 2011, was a resounding success.  Seventeen of us attended; seven of us made drums.  Many of those who did not make drums, sat in on the workshop and are inspired to make drums in the future.  The energy of the room when we were birthing these beautiful drums was incredible. I hope you have the opportunity to attend one of these workshops.  We will be having another drum-making retreat in the spring.

DeLIGHTful ReTREAT to JOY

Wow!  This was a great retreat.  The weather was absolutely perfect.  Rebecca and Roger Grant hosted a Peruvian Fire Ceremony on the beach on Saturday night that was powerful and fun.

Vika Miller presented “Road Map to Happiness.”  It is our birthright to thrive, and yet we are surrounded by a culture where life is about surviving.  We are told that thriving is unrealistic – a fairy tale.  Vika gave us some wonderful strategies for embracing the life we were born to live.

Anya Valsamakis gave us an overview and an introduction to the Enneagram that was interesting and gave us all insight into how we work at a core level.

Jane Carr led us on a shamanic journey to discover forgotten aspects of our unique light.

Esther Wright shared some powerful healing methods that she has discovered.  She has an amazing story of healing from cancer without the use of the harsh slash-and-burn techniques that western medicine offers.

In addition, we were served delicious vegetarian meals, participated in powerful healing circles, and had the opportunity to work one-on-one with healers, as well.

Yoga Retreat

The Yoga Retreat in September was fantastic.  We were so blessed to have spent some time with Peggy Leising, a very gifted yoga teacher and spirital soul.  She led us in a very gentle yoga practice, focusing on relaxing and opening up to a greater peace and vital life force.  Dormalee Earl provided Reiki treatments for all the participants and she and Lee Rosendaal presented a Healing Touch technique that allowed all of the participants to practice removing energy debris from others’ energy fields.

Verna Dice provided fabulous meals that left us all feeling full and satisfied.
Here are a few comments of some of the participants:
**I got a tremendous amount of peace from this retreat/ workshop; peace that I can take home in the form of tools to use for the rest of my life.  I will be forever grateful for all of the souls that chose to come together for this one magical weekend.  I feel blessed.  Thank you.

groupyoga**In this time and space out of my everyday schedule, there were no demands placed on me and someone else was taking care of me.

**I was reminded of how truly blessed I am and how many wonderful souls there are in the world on the same road I am.  I was also able to really enjoy yoga for the first time.

**I felt accepted and encouraged.  The openness and freedom was refreshing
**A chance to reconnect with myself and my needs and personal gifts
**I wanted to just be – and so it was!  What a blessing – to just be without judgment.
**I was seen and acknowledged for who I really am and fromj that place I was respected and guided and nourished so that I may return refreshed and renewed.  I am at once exhausted from being emotionally stretched and revitalized from my renewed faith in human kindness and generosity.

Honoring the Sacred Feminine – March 2009

IMGP0776I am so sorry if you were not able to make it to the recent Women’s retreat.  It was so fabulous.  The women who came were beautiful and introspective and seriously committed to loving and appreciating themselves more through treating themselves to pampering and healing.  Each of us had the opportunity to be pampered, as well as to pamper another through hand- and foot-massages. There were Reiki treatments from our gifted Reiki master, Susan VanWie  The food was deliciously prepared by Tatjana Petrevics.

SilkScarf22We all dyed  to partifcipate in silk dying and collage-art making.  All of this was topped off with an Honoring ceremony on Sunday in which we had the opportunity to honor each woman and she received gifts from the community for her special uniqueness.  I want to thank each woman who participated.  Each of you was special and I was enriched by all of you.

Art and Craft Retreat – May 2009

101_0169Participants at this retreat had a great time dying silk, beading and doing other craft projects.  All came away with beautiful items they had made.  Some learned the peyote beading technique and made beautiful, unique bracelets.  It was a busy and fun-filled weekend.  We did some drumming and dancing, and the weather was fantastic.

101_0168The only problem was that there was too much to do, too many projects, and not enough time.  I wish you could have been there.
